Artist's Statement:

The recent direction of my painting has moved towards the impression of place and the objects as they naturally appear within that space. As still lifes are usually constructions of the artist's hand, I understand and appreciate the confines of still life painting and I am finding myself enjoying the world outside my studio. My love of animals and anatomy, has introduced itself in my recent paintings of cows and I am finding great contentment in recording the land and the animals that exist in and around my home in the Cambridge Valley and the Adirondacks.
